Dr. Pillai is an associate clinical professor specializing in molecular pathology, hematopathology, and pathology bioinformatics. He is also a member of the Toni Stephenson Lymphoma Center. Dr. Pillai completed a post-doctoral training in immunology followed by residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at University of Southern California, and subsequent dual fellowships in molecular genetic pathology and hematopathology at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Pillai's research interests include spatial biology of cancers and the application of panomics technologies in diagnostic pathology. Triple board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, molecular genetic pathology and hematopathology, he is an active member of multiple professional associations, and has published more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, abstracts and book chapters.
